Tagrly is built by a small team focused on tools that respect your time. We make software for creative teams that ship a lot of content.
The story
It started with one impossible question.
"Where's that photo of the couple at the altar, the one from the wedding back in June, where the light was hitting the flowers just right?" That's not a filename. That's not a filter. That's the way humans actually think about photos.
We built Tagrly because every existing photo tool wanted us to think like a file system: this is in folder X, subfolder Y, named IMG_8743.JPG. After the fifteenth hour of scrolling through Drive folders trying to find one specific moment, we decided we'd rather build the tool than keep using the broken one.
What we believe
Search beats folders. Folders made sense when computers had ten files. Search is how every modern tool, from your inbox to Spotlight, actually finds things. Photo libraries should work the same way.
AI should help you, not replace your eye. Claude writes a first draft of every photo's metadata. You can correct it, add to it, or ignore it. Your edits stick. The AI's role is to make the first 80% effortless, not to pretend it understands what you're making.
Your photos are yours. Read-only access to your source folder. No training. Full metadata export at any time. No vendor lock-in we wouldn't ourselves accept.

Security
What we protect, and how.
We treat customer data the way we'd want our own data treated. Concretely:
- Read-only source access. We never modify or move files in your Drive or Dropbox. Worst case, you disconnect and our copy of the metadata stays in your workspace.
- No AI training. Photos go to Anthropic's Claude API with their no-training policy. No model trains on your data.
- Every workspace is walled off. Your photos and tags never touch another customer's. An always-on safety check confirms this on every release.
- Secure sign-in sessions. We use the safest cookie defaults so your session can't be stolen by malicious sites or scripts.
- Full metadata export. Download your full catalog metadata as JSON or CSV at any time.
