FAQ

Pricing questions, answered.

What does a credit do?

Everything. 1 credit reads 1 photo or runs 1 AI search, and an AI variant of a photo is 10 credits. The credits are the same whether they came from a pack or a plan, and they work on every plan, including the free one.

Why subscribe instead of just buying credit packs?

Two reasons. Plans price credits below any pack (2.5¢ a credit on Hobby against 2.6¢ a photo on the biggest pack), and plans carry the features: password-protected galleries, client proofing, white-label and team invites, plus whatever we ship next. Packs are the right buy for a library that has stopped growing; that is what they are for.

Do I need a subscription to tag my back catalog?

No. Import credits work on every plan, including the free one, so an archive that has stopped growing can be cataloged once, searched forever, and left alone.

How long does it take to tag 10,000 photos?

It varies with the size of the job, and it does not need watching: the scan runs unattended in the background. You can search what is already read while the rest is still going, and we email you when it is done.

Is "750 photos a month" my library cap or a monthly cap?

A monthly cap on new analyses, never a library cap. Photos already analyzed stay in your library and never count again, so the library keeps growing while the bill stays flat.

What counts as a photo?

You pay for the photos we read. Shoot fourteen frames of the same toast and Tagrly sees one moment: it reads one frame, keeps all fourteen in your library, and the thirteen it never read are not charged at all, on any plan. A library of one-off shots has nothing to combine, so every photo in it is read, once.

What happens if I go over my monthly photo limit?

Nothing surprising. Rolled-over credits and any import pack cover the extra automatically; otherwise new photos wait for next month. Optional pay-as-you-go at 4¢ a credit is off unless you turn it on, and it stops at a spend limit you set.

Do unused credits roll over?

Plan credits roll over for a year, and your settings page shows the balance with each expiry date. They live with the plan: cancel and unused plan credits lapse. Import credits sit in their own pot and never expire either way.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, counted in photos rather than days: your first 500 photos are tagged free, no credit card, and the free tier never expires, so there is nothing to remember to cancel.

Are my photos used to train AI models?

No. We use Anthropic's AI with its no-training default. Your photos and metadata are never used to train any AI model, ours or theirs.

Ten years of photos? That is the point.
